The American Society of Panama (AMSOC) had its first General Assembly this past Thursday at the Bristol Hotel to elect new members for the 2019 – 2020 Board. As usual, the Bristol Hotel was well organized and the Tapas and drinks were very tasty and reasonably priced. Eight of the nine candidates were present (Jorge is travelling) and all together, there were approximately 40-50 attendees. The election was ran smoothly thanks to Ed Prout, Chairperson who was assisted by Karen Barnett, Dr. Charly Garcia, Dr. Tom Rowley, Dave Wilson and myself. The five candidates elected to serve a two (2) year term are: Francis Wilson, Bradle Bingham, Yazmin Quiroz, Alex Neuman van der Hanz and Veronica Wharton Thorpe. The remaining four candidates to serve a one (1) year term as Alternates are: Dr. Wayne Samuels, Herbert Harmond Sr., Jorge Estemac and Diane Delavante-Davies. After the congratulating all the candidates a 50/50 raffle was held and the winner was none other than Bradle Bingham who won $67.00 who in turned donated it back to the Scholarship fund; thanks Bradle! AMSOC cordially invites you to its forthcoming Installation Event where these newly elected members as well as returning members will be sworn in at Santa Maria Luxurious Golf Spa on May 18th, 2019. We really appreciate your support to AMSOC and many thanks for your attendance.
