Banda De Música Herberto López – (Chitré, Herrera)

Congratulations to Banda De Música Herberto López – (Chitré, Herrera) one of 4 international bands who will be marching in the Pasadena Tournament of Roses January 1, 2018.  






Pasadena Tournament of Roses® 2018 President Lance Tibbet announced 20 marching bands that will participate in the 129th Rose Parade presented by Honda. The bands will travel to Pasadena from across the United States and around the world, including Australia, Canada, Japan and Panama. The theme is “Making a Difference.”



The American Society of Panama supported the Colegio José Daniel Crespo band when they marched in the Rose Parade in 2014. Charlotte Pierce and Dr. Wayne Samuels making a donation to Irving Rodriguez.  Irving was the youngest bandmaster to lead a band in the 2014 Rose Parade.  We are supporting them again for their exciting trip to Pasadena in 2018.


At the May 2015 Installation Dinner, 30 band members traveled from Chitré to Panama to play for the American Society of Panama.  It was incredible to hear these young talented band members.  Irving Rodriguez, a dedicated bandmaster helping the students excel to be the best.  Ambassador Jonathan Farrar presented Irving Rodriguez a certificate of recognition.
