Thank you for your generosity! We have started to receive excellent donations from our membership, the sympathetic public and different business organizations but are in need of many more donations if we are again going to have a successful fund raising auction. Please look around your home for new items you have not used or no longer need. Consider purchasing gift certificates for restaurants or donate one of your paintings, some home made jewelry, or any article of value that could help our cause. Use your imagination, come up with a gift donation and plan to attend this auction. Tickets will go on sale on 15 March for this event. We will soon start listing donations as they are received so you can plan your bids at the auction.
Remember that all contributions to the II USA Charity Auction sponsored by Caravana de Asistencia Social or the American Society are tax deductible in the Republic of Panama.

The American Society of Panama, the USA Committee of Caravana de Asistencia Social, and the American Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Panama (AmCham) announce their 2nd Annual Joint Auction to raise funds for their diverse charitable projects. We thank the members of AmCham for again joining us as part of the American Community in Panama to help raise funds in this combined effort. All three organizations are comprised of many of the same individuals and this alliance of efforts towards this goal of raising funds gives the American community in Panama a higher focus and a greater ability to assist some in need in our host country, Panama. We cannot solve all problems and we cannot assist everyone, but with this alliance of efforts to raise funds we shall reach more individuals and institutions.

When: Thursday 22 April 2010
Time: 6 - 10 P.M.
Price: $15 per person entitles an individual to Bidder Paddle, Appetizers, Wine, & Soft Drinks.

We had a very successful Dry Season Picnic at the Balboa Yacht Club. Now it is time to have another great Picnic in El Valle We are sending this out early so you can make plans to make it a weekend event. Please reserve Saturday the 13th of March for our next picnic.
The American Society in Panama is having its 6thAnnual El Valle Picnic on Saturday 13th March 2010 and again it will be held at "Los Capitanes Hotel" grounds in El Valle de Anton. Please reserve the 13th of March for a fun filled day in El Valle de Anton. Please come join the American Society at its annual picnic in El Valle. From past experience it is recommended you make your hotel reservations early as this is a busy time for El Valle and this is a popular event. We will have a cut off date of Thursday 11 March to make reservations and pick up your tickets for the event. Check out this great picture of El Valle that was taken from the Space Shuttle. You can clearly see the mountains of Panama's central ridge, with the El Valle crater clearly visible and Gatun Lake in the background
